Nute earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of South
Carolina. Painting professionally since 1976, Ms. Nute has issued over
90 limited editions, many of which have sold out. She paints realistic
southern landscapes, scenes of Charleston (both old Charleston and contemporary
Charleston), and still lifes in clear, clean colors. She has won many
awards and commissions. Ms. Nute painted the White House and presented
it to President Ronald Reagan in the Oval Office. She has worked on special
projects with Governor Carroll Campbell and with various organizations.
